Hybrid cable

The term hybrid cable is used several times in the cable industry. It is always used when two different basic elements are combined in a cable. In the simplest example, these can only be different types of copper wires, for example for power supply and some control wires. However, a hybrid cable is also referred to when copper wires and compressed air hoses are combined in one cable or electrical conductors and optical fibre conductors have been incorporated in a common cable.
