A further option in the robot equipment is the yellow, smooth tube system, which is used as a cable management system on the robot. It does not require a retract system, is wear- and maintenance-free, as the smooth tube does not touch the robot during operation. This cable system is characterised by the extreme robustness of the external PUR hose. The desired components are drawn into the PUR hose using a special manufacturing process. The advantages of this energy supply system are its long service life and the fact that it can be used without a retraction system. Special attachments are required for this variant of the cable system in order to achieve the larger bending radius required on the system side. The smooth tube package is ideal for areas with a high degree of contamination.
